Beware of these fraudulent practices 

Cash/Cheque related frauds
You have handed over your premium in cash or cheque to a person posing to be a representative of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, but have not received any communication from us confirming that the money has been received.
Signature forgery/incorrect details
The insurance application form/other documents submitted to the Company have signatures which are not yours or you have noticed that the personal details like date of birth, contact details etc. are incorrect.
Unauthorized transactions
You receive communication regarding a transaction for your policy which has not been initiated / authorised by you. For example financial transactions like switches, withdrawals, surrenders etc. or changes in your contact details.
Spurious Calls
You receive phone calls promising rewards or bonuses on surrender of your insurance policy.

Immediate steps you can take to fight fraud

Provide these details in your written complaint for a quicker action against fraudsters:
Details of the fraudster - Name, contact details, company that he/she was representing & any other information you were able to capture.
Physical evidence - Any documents handed over to you by the fraudster like visiting card, receipt etc.
Transaction details - SMS or Email you may have received for any transaction not authorized by you. Please share details such as sender’s ID, content of SMS/Email & date of receiving the communication.
We will investigate the matter and provide you with an appropriate resolution.

Some good tips to prevent fraud 

ALWAYS
Read the product brochure or visit our website for details before you buy any ICICI Prudential Life Insurance product.
Go through the policy documents to make sure the product offers the same benefits as explained to you when you were purchasing it.
Check the copy of the application form for accuracy of personal information. Inform us of any discrepancy by calling us on 1860 266 7766 or write to us at lifeline@iciciprulife.com or visit your nearest ICICI Prudential Life Insurance branch.
Keep your policy documents in a secure place and do inform your family members of the same.
Immediately report to us if you get any communication through SMS / Email of a transaction not authorized by you.
Keep us updated if your mobile number or email id changes. This will help you to keep a track of all transactions done for your policy.
Always mention your policy number when you make your premium payment through cheque.
REMEMBER
Never submit your original documents like PAN card, driving license, passport etc to anyone. We never keep your original documents for any of our transactions.
It is recommended that you pay your premiums through our Website, ECS, or Standing instructions to your bank. Incase you wish to make payments through Cash or Cheque you may do so only at authorised ICICI Prudential branches or it's designated collection centres. Never issue blank cheques for any of your financial transactions related to your ICICI Prudential Life Insurance policy.
Never provide your website User ID / Password etc. to anybody (including company officials)
Do not fall prey to spurious / fake callers or mailers posing to be representatives of IRDA or the Insurance Company. They may lure you to make some additional payment (over and above your premium amount) by promising you high rewards & bonus in return on your existing insurance policy.
